FUNCTIONS OF THE OVCA

The OFFICE OF THE VICE CHANCELLOR FOR ADMINISTRATION (OVCA) is a critical part of the university's administrative structure. Its functions can be generalized as follows:

1. 1. Administrative Oversight: Provide crucial support to the Chancellor in the overall administrative operation of the university, which includes planning, coordination, and implementation of university policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

   2. Policy Implementation: Act as a central point for the implementation of university policies and procedures across the campus. Ensure that all departments and units comply with these policies and regulations.

   3. Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor administrative-related activities on campus, keeping an eye on compliance with university policies and procedures. Prepare and maintain reports on administrative matters for review by the university's leadership.

   4. Coordination and Communication: Serve as a liaison between various OVCA units and other offices across the university. Facilitate effective communication and coordination among different administrative units. Prepare communication documents and reports as needed.

   5. Campus Security and Safety: Take responsibility for developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and activities related to campus security and safety. Ensure that the campus is a secure and safe environment for all members of the university community.

   6. Transportation Services: Provide transportation services for official travels and errands for university employees. Ensure that transportation needs are met efficiently and in accordance with university policies.

   7. The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration plays a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth and effective operation of the university's administrative functions, ensuring compliance with policies, and fostering a safe and well-coordinated campus environment.
