July 7, 2025 – Administrators from Mindanao State University (MSU) Naawan and the University of the Philippines (UP) Mindanao shared both common and divergent experiences during a benchmarking activity held at UP Mindanao. MSU Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance Dr. Rhoda Perpetua said their benchmarking visit was geared toward preparing for a quality management systems certification.
The activity was facilitated by Associate Professor Ritchie Mae Gamot, director of the UP Mindanao Quality Assurance Office, who organized presentations from administrative unit heads on their respective best practices.
As part of the benchmarking, the MSU delegation visited the accounting, cash, and budget offices to observe processes firsthand. Procurement and supply personnel also exchanged insights on existing and revised procurement policies with Supply Office OIC Allan Villanueva and Vice Chancellor Leo Manuel Estaña.
The activity concluded with a campus tour, where the visitors explored the College of Science and Mathematics, the Fabrication Laboratory, and the Sports Complex.
