February 20, 2025 - UP Mindanao has once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence by receiving two prestigious institutional awards. These accolades highlight the university’s dedication to quality service and effective human resource management, reinforcing its position as a leading educational institution in Mindanao. The awarding was held during the 30th Anniversary of UP Mindanao last February 20, 2025, at the Sotogrande Hotel.
As part of its continuous pursuit of institutional development, UP Mindanao has been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Certification for its Quality Management System. This certification signifies that the university has met international standards in ensuring quality processes, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across its various administrative and academic services. The certification is a testament to the university’s commitment to upholding and maintaining a structured quality management framework. The certification for ISO 9001:2015 was presented by Ms. Pamela Maye Gunay, Senior Manager of Business Assurance, TÜV SÜD PSB Philippines, and Ms. Claudine Mae Dayagdag, Sales Executive Business Assurance for Mindanao, TÜV SÜD PSB Philippines.

Additionally, UP Mindanao has achieved the PRIME-HRM Maturity Level II Accreditation – Bronze Award. This recognition, granted by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Region XI, reflects the university’s dedication to enhancing its human resource management practices. The PRIME-HRM (Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management) accreditation affirms that UP Mindanao has met key standards in HR systems, policies, and practices, ensuring a more professionalized and efficient workforce. The accreditation was presented by Director III Venus O. Bumanlag, Director II Marilyn M. Dujali, and Ms. Jelyn Ladera of CSC Region XI.
These recognitions mark a significant milestone for UP Mindanao as it strengthens its institutional capabilities. By adhering to international quality management standards and reinforcing its human resource practices, the university remains steadfast in its mission to provide quality education, research, and public service for the development of Mindanao and beyond.
